VW Golf mk2/3 Billet front hub, wishbone, AP Racing brake assembly

This kit is not for the faint hearted, designed specifically to fill the gap in the market above off-the-shelf bolt on brake kits available.

SPEC:
7075 billet aluminium upright designed from the ground up, based on the factory geometry of the mk2/mk3 golf and is a direct fit to all mk2/mk3 golf suspension struts.
The mk4 golf r32 wheel bearing is at the centre of the upright giving superior strength and durability, held in place by our custom 7075 aluminium bearing holder and high tensile hardware.
The drive flange is an oem quality vw item at 5x100 PCD but can be drilled to suit 4x100 PCD on request. This will also allow the fitment of oem mk4 golf wheel speed sensor rings for ABS brake systems.
The modular design enables users to adjust the kit to suit a 305mm disc for some 15” or 16” wheels or a 330mm disc for 17” or 18” wheels.
The 7075 aluminium radial brake caliper mounts have been developed specifically for the top of the range AP pro-5000r calipers which are among the slimmest and best calipers on the market for fast road or racing use, again bolted on with high tensile hardware. We can supply the calipers if required. You may have also spotted a genius little slot between the upright and the caliper mount, this has 2 functions, the first is weight reduction and the second allows for a direct route for air to flow when using our 3D printed air ducts which can be attached to a regular size ducting pipe for efficient brake cooling (available separately).
These calipers wrap themselves around either a 300mm AP rotor with custom bells or a 305mm x 28mm vented 2 piece Brembo bell and rotor found on the front of a fiat 500-595, just a small modification is carried out to the centre bore to suit the mk4 golf drive flange, these can either be used as 4x100 PCD or re-drilled to 5x100 PCD or for those using a 17” wheel or larger we can offer 330mm AP rotors and some of our custom made billet 7075 aluminium bells with AP bobbins, the radial brake mounts will come in 2 sizes to accommodate.
On the opposite side of the upright you will find our billet 7075 aluminium steering arm mount which in testing has proven to allow the full range of bump-steer correction with every angleof castor and camber we could throw at it, adjustment can be achieved by raising or dropping the height of the tie-rod by altering the spacers in the clevis, perfect for dialling in geometry easily. The tie-rod ends are spherical joints which are fitted using our adjustable 7075 billet aluminium tie rod adapters.
At the base of our upright you will find that the zinc-plated steel insert is much lower than the factory position which allows the lower control arm to sit at a more level position when at a lower ride height, this means that geometry is less effected when going through thesuspension travel. There are 2 options for the steel insert, one to suit 15” or 16” wheels and one to suit 17” wheels or larger.
This kit has been designed and developed for use with our billet 7075 aluminium track control arms (TCA). These have a threaded tie rod to pick up on the front oem wishbone mounts which can be adjusted to alter track width, on the outside end of the TCA you will find a large spherical bearing that is bolted into the steel adapter in the bottom of the upright using high tensile hardware. The TCA is supported by a zinc plated steel compression strut which comprises of a fixed billet clevis that wraps around and bolts through the TCA on one end and a large threaded insert with adjuster on the other which bolts into the factory subframe mounts and allows for a large castor adjustment gain.
